Agent hints at Jorginho's Chelsea


: Exit Transfer market is long, it will last until October 5


Agent Joao Santos has opened up on Jorginho's future with midfielder 'followed by many clubs' as Frank Lampard's plans for the 28-year-old are not yet clear.


"He has a three-year deal with Chelsea," Jorginho's agent Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb. "The market is long, it will last until October 5.


"If Chelsea were to think that he is no longer part of the project, I would find an alternative solution. Last year he played 40 games for Chelsea and is an important member of the national team.


"So far we haven’t received any official offers. He is followed by many clubs and there aren’t many players with his characteristics in that role."


In 2019/20, Jorginho was a key player for Frank Lampard before the pandemic. However, the 28-year-old slipped down in the midfield pecking order at Stamford Bridge after the restart of the season.


The Italy international was left on the bench for 4 games in a row and returned to the starting XI only when both N'Golo Kante and Billy Gilmour were not available due to injuries.


All in all, one of Chelsea's captains, Jorginho made 44 appearances across all competitions last term, scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists.

Kai Havertz's ambitions after joining Chelsea The German is pleased to join a long-term project at Stamford Bridge. He admits that the first two or three weeks in a new country could be difficult. Still, Kai's ultimate target is to win titles with his new club.
