Kai Havertz to be announced as Chelsea player in 24 hours The young German has was allowed to leave camp to miss the last Nations League game to avoid any risk of injury.  According to highly-reliable transfer insider David Ornstein,   Kai Havertz  is set to be announced as a  Chelsea  player in the next 24 hours. The 21-year-old playmaker is going to join Chelsea for just over £72 million plus add-ons, as per the source. The attacking midfielder missed Germany's clash with Spain on Thursday to avoid any risk of injury, as Chelsea had expected.  Contrary to previous reports, however, Ornstein points out that Havertz has not yet taken a medical for the Blues.  Yet, it's almost inevitable that the  Bayer Leverkusen  player will become  Chelsea's sixth signing this summer .

Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen reportedly in talks over Malang Sarr loan The Blues have stated that the French centre-back will be loaned out for the 2020/2021 season. Chelsea are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a loan deal for Malang Sarr who has just joined the Blues as a free agent, Get French Football News reports. The Bundesliga outfit are looking for a centre-back, but their priority option, Monaco's Benoit Badiashile, has proved to be unavailable. That's why they have turned their attention to Sarr who's expected to be loaned out just days after signing a five-year deal. The report does not mention whether these talks are part of the negotiations over Kai Havertz that have been going on for a much longer period of time. It's understood that the 21-year-old is already Chelsea-bound, with the manager admitting that Havertz is unlikely to join their pre-season training camp. The Blues have agreed to pay an initial £72m to  Bayer Leverkusen , with an additional £18m of add-ons included. The 21-year-old will sign a five-year contact with his new club. 
And Bild's head of football writer Christian Falk has confirmed Havertz passed a medical in England before linking up with the German national team on Monday. He will become  Chelsea 's club-record signing and the most expensive German player of all-time. Chelsea  will have to register Havertz by Thursday if he plays for Germany to be able to apply for an exemption so he won't have to quarantine upon his arrival in the UK.   Kai Havertz  move to  Chelsea  is apparently all but official with more and more tier-one sources confirming the imminent move. On Monday, Italian journalist  Fabrizio Romano  said: "Havertz is a Chelsea player by one week! Just a matter of time to prepare the announcement and have medicals." The 21-year-old's transfer is believed to be delayed due to the midfielder reporting for international duty with Germany this week. However, the move 'has never been in doubt'. Apparently,  Bayer Leverkusen  informed Havertz last week that all the details of the deal have been agreed. Therefore, the £90-million man is expected to officially become a Chelsea player in the coming days.
