On Monday, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said: "Havertz is a Chelsea player by one week! Just a matter of time to prepare the announcement and have medicals." The 21-year-old's transfer is believed to be delayed due to the midfielder reporting for international duty with Germany this week. However, the move 'has never been in doubt'. Apparently, Bayer Leverkusen informed Havertz last week that all the details of the deal have been agreed. Therefore, the £90-million man is expected to officially become a Chelsea player in the coming days.
